Supplement Contract Manufacturing for Brand Owners

UniWell Labs is a dietary supplement contract manufacturer in Texas. We produce supplements for third-party brands, from formulation development to blending, filling, packaging and documentation, under cGMP for dietary supplements (21 CFR Part 111).

You own the brand and the customer. We handle the manufacturing: sourcing raw materials, producing to your label claim, testing and delivering finished product with its batch records.

Formats we manufacture

How supplement contract manufacturing works at UniWell

  1. Brief and feasibility. You share the product concept, target label, format and the volume you expect to launch with. We confirm what can be produced and what the formula needs.
  2. Formulation. Our R&D team builds or adjusts the formula to meet the label claim, or transfers your existing formula.
  3. Quote and agreement. You receive pricing per unit and per run, plus the quality agreement that defines responsibilities.
  4. Raw material sourcing and testing. Ingredients are sourced and checked before they enter production.
  5. Production. Blending, encapsulation, tableting, powder filling or liquid bottling, then packaging.
  6. Release and documentation. Finished product is tested and released with its documentation: raw materials, batch records and more.

Why brands choose a contract manufacturer instead of building a plant

Building a supplement facility means capital equipment, a quality system, trained staff and regulatory compliance before the first unit ships. A contract manufacturer already has that in place, so a brand can launch and scale without carrying the fixed cost.

What changes from one manufacturer to another is the range of formats under one roof, how transparent they are with documentation, and whether they can grow with your volume.

Quality and certifications

Every batch is tested against its specifications. Halal, Kosher, Organic, NSF and Informed Choice certifications, along with our inspections by the FDA and the Texas Department of State Health Services, are listed on our credentials and certifications page. Frequently asked questions

What is supplement contract manufacturing?

It is when a brand hires a manufacturer to produce its dietary supplements. The brand owns the product and sells it; the contract manufacturer formulates, produces, tests and packages it under cGMP.

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on the format and the formula. Stick packs, for example, start at around 75,000 units. Share your product and expected volume and we will confirm the minimum for your run.

Who owns the formula?

Ownership should be defined in writing before production starts. Read who owns your supplement formula for what to agree on.

How long does a production run take?

Lead time depends on raw material availability, format and volume. Our guide to MOQs, lead times and capacity explains what drives it.
