HPMC and gelatin capsules
HPMC capsules are plant-based, a fit for vegetarian and vegan products and for brands that want to avoid animal-derived ingredients. Gelatin capsules are the traditional option and a cost-efficient choice for many formulas. We help you choose based on your label positioning, your ingredients and your target customer.
Capsule sizes we fill
- Size 1 for smaller doses and easier swallowing.
- Size 0, the most common size for supplements.
- Size 00 for higher-dose formulas.
- Size 00EL (extended length) when the fill weight needs more room.
Fill weight depends on the density of your blend. During development we confirm how many capsules per serving your formula needs to reach its label claim.
How we produce capsules
- Formulation: our scientists build or adjust the formula to meet the label claim.
- Blending: V-blenders produce a homogeneous blend so each batch is encapsulated from a uniform blend.
- Encapsulation: high-volume encapsulation equipment fills and closes the capsules.
- Testing and release: analytical testing verifies the finished product before release.
- Packaging: bottling and labeling to your specification.
